This policy matches the scripts nightcoop.xyz actually loads. The operator is the independent guide at nightcoop.xyz. Contact is the address in the footer. Checked 4 November 2026.

Analytics and ads load by default

On a first visit with no saved choice, the site treats analytics and ads as granted and requests Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra on the first screen. The cookie banner is a notice and a withdrawal, not a gate: it appears at the same time, with Accept and Reject. Choose Reject and the page changes the Google consent signals to denied, stops the Clarity and Adsterra loaders, hides the ad slots, and stores that rejection for 180 days. To turn the vendors on again, open Cookie settings and choose Accept. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the site records a rejection and does not wait for a click. Do Not Track is not a header this static site can read in the page; use Cookie settings or Global Privacy Control.

What loads, and what it stores

• Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-T83MZP96ZD, loaded from googletagmanager.com. It can set _ga and _ga_<container> to distinguish browsers and receives page URL, referrer, browser information and network metadata. We have not confirmed a project-specific event-retention setting, so no duration is asserted here. Reject prevents the analytics loader on subsequent page loads.
• Microsoft Clarity, project z89gxgyxai, loaded from clarity.ms. It collects clicks, scrolls and session replays and may set _clck, _clsk, MUID and session flags such as ANONCHK and SM. Clarity documents 30 days for playback data, with some saved recordings retained longer; see its retention policy. Reject prevents its loader on subsequent page loads.
• Adsterra, publisher 3403020, serves one Native Banner (unit 32086636) and one Social Bar (unit 32086637) from bicea.org. Creative requests may use cdn.show-creative1.com, cdn.show-sb.com, cdn.cloudpiko.com and static.nresystems.com; creative fonts may use fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Those Google font hosts belong to ad creatives; our own text fonts are served locally. Adult ads are off. Its scripts and creative partners may use cookies and local storage; exact ad-cookie names and expiration vary by creative and are not asserted here. Adsterra and its demand partners receive your IP address, user agent, and the page URL, and may use cookies or local storage to cap frequency and measure clicks. Reject prevents both ad loaders on subsequent page loads.
• YouTube (Google) is not requested on page load. Pressing a video button creates the player, and YouTube then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under Google’s privacy policy. That player is the click-to-play exception on this site.
• Cloudflare serves and protects the site and may set __cf_bm, a short-lived bot-management cookie, on any request. It is infrastructure, not advertising.
• Outbound links to nightcoop.net, Nexus, GitHub, Discord, and Reddit are ordinary links. Those sites see the request only if you follow them.

Local storage keys and retention

The site writes two keys in your browser’s local storage, not cookies. nc_consent holds ads (true or false), analytics (true or false), a timestamp t, and days: 180; it is kept for 180 days and is how a rejection survives a reload. nc_social_closed holds a timestamp and days: 180 when you press Hide ad on the floating Social Bar, so the bar stays closed for 180 days. Cookie settings opens the banner; choosing Accept or Reject writes nc_consent. Clearing site data for nightcoop.xyz deletes both keys. The Adsterra and analytics cookies listed above are set by those third parties and expire on their own schedules.

Legal basis, rights, changes

This site starts analytics and advertising before an explicit Accept click and records the current preference in local storage. Reject reloads the document to stop running vendor scripts; subsequent loads read that rejection before requesting the vendors. Opening Cookie settings lets you choose again. Cloudflare provides security and delivery. We do not run a user account. You can ask what this policy lists, or ask us to correct a factual page, by emailing the contact address with the URL and a source. For personalised advertising, use Google’s Ads Settings and the Your Online Choices opt-out; Adsterra’s own privacy policy explains its partners and opt-outs. We will change this policy on this URL and update the date if a script is added or removed.
