NightCoop lets up to eight people play the Cyberpunk 2077 campaign in the host world. Each person brings their own V. The current public build is v0.2.0-beta, released 2 November 2026, protocol 164. It is free. Patreon does not unlock features. Phantom Liberty is optional.

Requirements

Game 2.5 or 2.31, RED4ext, Windows.

Install

Unpack the archive into the game folder.

Fixes

Connection, keys, missing invite codes.

Is it safe?

Checksums, audit scope, and the Nexus copy.

What the public pages agree on

  • Windows 10/11 64-bit only. Other systems are listed as in development.
  • RED4ext is the only required loader. Cyber Engine Tweaks is not required.
  • The world is the host save. Guest saves are left alone.
  • A direct connection is tried first. A relay is the fallback.
  • The download page provides separate archives for game 2.5 and 2.31.

Latest build

v0.2.0-beta opened the world without a wait, shared fixer gigs, and scaled some boss fights with the party. A partner who lacks a mod sees the vanilla car, weapon, weather, or radio instead. The changelog and older protocols are on the versions page.

Is NightCoop a separate game?

No. It is a co-op mod for a licensed copy of Cyberpunk 2077 on Windows 10 or 11.

Where is the download?

The project publishes builds on nightcoop.net. This guide links there and does not host the files.
