Third-person camera mods

Last checked: 2026-11-04 · Official version: v0.2.0-beta (2026-11-02) · Protocol 164 · Free · Windows 10/11 64-bit · Up to 8 players · RED4ext only (no CET) · Phantom Liberty not required

This page concerns Immersive Third Person by CybrDrake, Nexus id 32203. Other camera mods can use different dependencies and should not inherit this page’s status. Its page does not mention NightCoop. NightCoop’s guides do not mention Immersive Third Person. Status: no compatibility statement. A local camera feature alone does not establish multiplayer compatibility.

What the camera mod asks for

  • Author: CybrDrake. Type: camera.
  • Requirements printed on the Nexus page: Cyber Engine Tweaks, RED4ext, redscript, ArchiveXL, TweakXL, Codeware, and Phantom Liberty.
  • NightCoop’s own requirement list is RED4ext only, and Phantom Liberty is optional. Those two lists can both be true: one belongs to the camera mod, the other to the co-op plugin.
  • Host and guest: unknown. The page does not say whether only the local player needs the camera mod.
  • Tested NightCoop build: blank. No version is named.

Why a local camera is still an open question

A third-person camera moves the view, the body animation, and sometimes the aim origin. NightCoop syncs other players’ bodies, vehicles, and poses. The 0.2.0 notes talk about vanilla fallbacks for cars, weapons, weather, and radio when a partner lacks a mod. They do not talk about whose camera wins, or whether a guest in third person still aims where the host’s replication expects a first-person trace. That gap is exactly why the cell stays unknown. If you install it, both people should know the other might be on a different camera, and you should treat any desync as uncharted rather than as a documented bug with a numbered fix.

CET being required by the camera mod does not mean NightCoop needs CET. It means this particular camera mod will not load its own features without CET, even in single player. Adding CET for the camera does not create a NightCoop compatibility patch. No such patch was on the Nexus search I used on 4 November 2026.

Questions

Which mod is this page about?

Immersive Third Person - Best Of Both Worlds by CybrDrake, Nexus 32203. The search phrase is broader, and other camera mods are not listed here because they were not the page I opened.

Does NightCoop require Phantom Liberty?

No. This camera mod’s own page lists Phantom Liberty among its requirements. That is the camera mod’s list, not NightCoop’s.
