v0.1.1-beta.2
Last checked: 2026-11-04 · Official version: v0.2.0-beta (2026-11-02) · Protocol 164 · Free · Windows 10/11 64-bit · Up to 8 players · RED4ext only (no CET) · Phantom Liberty not required
v0.1.1-beta.2 is the second open beta, dated 24 October 2026, protocol 128. The file is one zip, 7,640,561 bytes, SHA-256 64c81b8003e20af0063f1fe2254e6ebdba64c5db4ac806e2034b3b74e5f003aa. The release list does not split a RED4ext version per game patch for this archive. Use the archive hash rather than the plugin DLL hash when comparing a downloaded zip: the independent analysis also lists hashes for files inside the package, which are different objects.
What the notes say changed
- Dialogue and votes are described as more reliable, without split dialogue branches.
- Personal scenes no longer wait for the partner.
- Fewer story dead ends, plus catch-up keys for the host and for guests.
- Moving to a partner places you on the ground next to them.
- The notes call it fixes after the first beta, which had shipped the day before.
Why people still mention the hash
This is the newest build the independent analysis says it opened, together with 0.1.0-beta.1. The write-up’s conclusion for those two binaries is no malicious code. Gridinsoft’s page for this exact hash, reviewed 25 October 2026, says Clean with 0% detection, and the size matches 7,640,561 bytes. v0.2.0-beta and v0.1.2-beta are outside both of those documents. Installing 0.1.1-beta.2 today means protocol 128, so you cannot join a friend on protocol 164. The reason to read this page is the audit scope, not a recommendation to downgrade.
Compared with 0.2.0-beta, you give up the open-world change, shared fixer gigs, the SDK, and the crash fixes named on 2 November. Compared with 0.1.0-beta.1, you keep protocol 128, so those two October builds can still see each other, and you pick up the dialogue and catch-up changes. Download count for this file in the 4 November 05:28 UTC snapshot was 53,127. That snapshot is not today’s counter.

Questions
Should a new group install this build?
No. v0.2.0-beta is the current protocol 164 build. It has newer fixes and a different protocol. The older archive remains relevant to the independent audit, not to a new installation.
Were there two zips?
No. 0.1.1-beta.2 is a single archive for game 2.5 and 2.31. Split archives start with 0.1.2-beta.
